Project: Health workforce development in Central NSW: Options paper

Timeline: March 2008– Aug 2008

Project Aim:

To develop a Health Advocacy Strategy for CENTROC as part of the organisation’s role to provide advocacy and improve health service delivery to the 16 Local Government Areas of Central NSW.

Requirements of the project included:

  • Consultation with participating councils and local stakeholders to identify gaps in health services, barriers and opportunities for immediate improvements

  • Development of preferred options to develop a sustainable local health workforce and identify cost or policy changes required to implement these options

  • Recommendations for activities to achieve immediate and longer term aims
