Client: Greater Western Area Health Service and the Centre for Remote HealthProject: Development of an integrated regional health plan for the Centre for Remote Health, Broken Hill Timeline: June 2007 – Oct 2007 Project Aim:The Centre for Remote Health is a new formal collaboration between five key health organisations: The Greater Western Area Health Service; Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation; Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section); Broken Hill University Dept of Rural Health and Barrier Division of General Practice. The purpose of the project was to develop an integrated regional health plan incorporating strategies to respond to regional health and service needs across remote far west of NSW.
